New Hours from The Saucy Italian

Hey folks…Annette Cavallaro here. I’ve got an announcement regarding our hours of operation, as well as an update on the future of The Saucy Italian.

Firstly, The Saucy Italian now has new operating hours because I’ve been keeping very busy searching properties for a location in order to open up my restaurant. As some of you know, I was forced to turn down an offer I received that was to provide a grant-funded renovated building that would be the birth place of my brick and mortar restaurant. The reason why I turned down the offer is because the owner/landlord was not at all in line with the overall vision for the community, but in fact solely focused on personal gain; this would have put my restaurant at great risk.

So….I press on and continue my search for a building to purchase so I am not at the mercy of a landlord.

Temporarily,  hours of operation are:

Thursday: 11:30 – 6:30

Friday: 11:30 – 6:30

Saturday: Noon – 6:30

Sunday: Noon – 6

Once we open up a brick and mortar restaurant, we will greatly expand the operating hours.

The Saucy Italian will be serving great food at RiverFest Amsterdam Saturday, 8/5.

Don’t miss this event. The Saucy Italian will be serving great food, and there will also be lots of vendors and entertainment. See you there!!

Saucy Italian Introduces Santino’s Feast

My son, Santino, is in the Army, currently based in Virginia. Before he left, he kept asking me for “a little of this and a little of that”. He couldn’t decide on what he wanted, so he’d ask for these combo meals. Hence….the creation of our latest addition, appropriately titled, “Santino’s Feast”. This is a feast for two people to share. It includes 2 Italian Fried Cheesy Rice Balls with Sauce for Dipping, 4 White Meat Chicken Nuggets, 6 Mac n’ Cheese Bites, French Fries, 2 Meatball Slider Sandwiches, and Bloomin Onion Bites. Bam!!!! It’s a variety feast for two (if you’re willing to share) haha.

This one’s for you, Santino. Can’t wait until you return home.

I gotcha meatballs right here!

By popular demand, we’ve increased the meatball slider meal from 2 sliders to 3 sliders per serving. So darn good, apparently 2 sliders just weren’t quite enough. We also switched from brioche slider buns to mini kaiser buns. Why?….because the brioche buns were a little too sweet and delicate for the savory meatballs, and the kaiser buns give just the right balance of flavor…really showcasing all the great flavors in the meatballs.
